Eating Sweets While Food preparation
For the chef who loves tasting as they go, links, tips, and finger food can add up fast, leaving you feeling as if you’ve already eaten lunch before it actually ends up on the table. To quell the tasting wish, some experts recommend sucking on a high spice up hard candy while you cook. The powerful taste—think mint, cinnamon, or sour—will keep your flavor buds busy, and the act of sucking will keep your mouth occupied.
Turn the lights up and the tunes down.
Restaurants don’t just dim the lights to make a romantic atmosphere; they do it so you order more diet. Low lighting lowers eating self-consciousness. As for music, soft tunes playing in the background really encourage more leisurely chewing and go against hurry-up, stress-related, tedious eating patterns.
Go for an evening walk.
Don’t get me wrong — exercising at any time is best for you. But evening activity may be particularly helpful because numerous people’s metabolism slows down toward the end of the day. Thirty minutes of aerobic activity before lunch increases your metabolic rate and may keep it elevated for another 2 or 3 hours, even after you’ve not moved. What that means for you: Those lunch calories have less of a chance to take up the permanent home on your hips.
Drink green tea.
When recent research compared the metabolic effect of green tea (in extract) with that of a placebo, students found that the green-tea drinkers burned about 70 extra calories in a 24-hour period. If you can trust it, those 70 calories a day add up to a whole of 7.3 pounds of fat a year! It’s not mystic, its science: Researchers have faith in the difference is caused by metabolism-increasing antioxidants known as catechins, which are bringing into being in green tea.
