Those people who don’t have the time to escape to a spa for relaxation, these DIY face masks are the best solution for giving skin a boost. Even better, they are all made from fully non-toxic elements… in really; you can eat most of them!
Basic Face Mask
Best for All skin kinds
Mash 1 banana with 1 tablespoon of honey and combine until it forms a smooth paste. Use to face and allow staying on for 10to15 minutes. Wash well.
Best for Dry skin
For dry skin, mix 1/2 of a ripe avocado with 2 tablespoons of honey and use to the face. Let sit 20+ minutes and wash well.
Good for: All skin kind’s especially dry skin
Cool Cucumber Mask
Remove with a washcloth and hot water.
Best for All skin types, particularly cooling for acne prone skin
After applying a facemask, a sea salt spray or 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar diluted in 1 cup of cool aquatic work as great toners to lock in the effects.
I find that these all work well in a mixture of the Oil Cleansing Way for completely natural skin care.
For a delightful smelling mask that also gently exfoliates skin, combine this mask that doubles as a sweetener for Chai tea. In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of honey and 1/2 teaspoon each of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Scrub on a face and let sit 20 minutes. Remove with a washcloth and hot water. (Remember: some people react to cinnamon or nutmeg on a skin. Check a small amount on your inner arm before applying)
