I’ve found that finding the right hair color for your skin tone can be a tough job, most of the time I see ladies go blonde only to complain that they look too washed out by their hair color. It happens because not every hair color is made for everyone. It’s a major dilemma, but you have to understand that there are certain shades that will never suit you. So let’s talk about the way in which you can figure out what hair dye would suit you best.
-
Skin Tone
First and foremost, the tone of your skin should give you an idea of what hair color you should choose. Women with fair skin and warm undertones should opt for more pale hair colors with hues of strawberry blonde, honey, and butterscotch. For a cool undertone with fair skin, you should go for platinum and champagne shades. I’m sure they would look the best on you.

Lipstick
Did you know that your lipstick plays an important role in figuring out what hair colors you should have? I know this might come off as a surprise but the lipsticks that suit us the most are the shades that naturally complement our skin tone. If plum and burgundy shades of lipstick suit you the best you have deeper undertones. If you look stunning in corals and chocolate browns, you’re probably a person with warmer undertones. And women who look good in pink or blue-based lip shades tend to have a cooler undertone to their skin. The color scheme for these undertones would be the same as I described earlier.

Eyes
Your eye color can also help determine what hair colors would make you look stunning and suit you the best! People who have dark brown eyes tend to have a deeper undertone to their skins. Similarly, people with warmer undertones have eyes of hazel, amber, green or warm brown color. And people with cooler undertones tend to have gray, blue, or greenish-blue eyes.

Jewelry Type
Another classic way, which is probably the oldest method of checking the undertones of someone’s skin, is figuring out what kind of jewelry looks best on them. Because metal doesn’t look the same on every skin tone. Silver jewelry looks best on people with cooler undertones. If you have warmer skin tones, you can pull off gold jewelry well. And lastly, if you have a rather deeper skin tone then both, silver and gold jewelry must suit you quite a lot.

Your Veins
The color of your vein speaks a lot about the undertones of your skin if you have a deeper skin shade and undertone your veins must have a purple tint to them. If the veins on your wrist have a greenish tint, you have warmer skin undertones. And if your wrist veins have a bluish hue, then you’re a person with cool undertones.
I hope this little guide helped you understand how you can determine your skin tone and hair color for that skin tone by various methods, but always make sure that you thoroughly moisturize the skin of your face and neck before applying dye to minimize the side effects that your skin might suffer from.
