Amazing Home Remedies For Leg Pain

Leg pain is a common issue experienced by people of all ages. Pain can range from a dull pain to severe stabbing sensations. It can happen in one or both legs. Some leg ache may be only painful and annoying, whereas severe acne can affect your flexibility or make it hard to put weight on your leg. Other symptoms may comprise faintness, numbness, or a tingling sensation.

There are several causes of leg pain. Most commonly, pain is due to cramp, muscle spasm, muscle low vigor, nutritional lack, dehydration, or standing for a long time.

  • Cold Compresses

When leg ache occurs after strenuous physical activity, you can simply use cold compresses. That will help decrease the pain by numbing the affected area and control swelling and soreness. Wrap a few ice chips or a bag of frozen peas in a thin towel. Use this pack on the affected area for 10 – 15 minutes while caring for the leg(s) elevated. Use this a few times a day.

Note: Do not use ice directly on the skin, as it may reason frostbite.

  • Massage

Massage promotes faster recovery from muscle harm that reasons leg ache. In a 2012 research printed in the Science Translational Medicine journal, researchers concluded that 10 minutes of massage cure attenuates inflammatory signaling after exercise-induced muscle harm.

  • Turmeric

One more effective home cure for leg pain is turmeric, which has antioxidants as well as anti-inflammatory properties. Blend 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder with enough warm sesame oil makes a paste. Use it on the affected area and rub gently. Wait 30 minutes before washing it off with warm water. Do this two times daily.

1- Also, drink a glass of hot turmeric milk once or twice every day.

2- Another option is to take turmeric as a dietary supplement, but only under your doctor’s advice.

Note: If you take a blood-thinning drug, consult your physician before taking turmeric as a medicine.

  • Epsom Salt Soak

Epsom salt contains magnesium, an essential electrolyte that helps regulate nerve signals in the body. It even works as a natural muscle relaxant and helps decrease pain, inflammation, and swelling.

Epsom Salt for leg pain

1- Use ½ cup of Epsom salt in a hot bath and stir it well.

2- Soak your legs in this water for 15 minutes.

3- Repeat 2 – 3 times a week.

Also, consume more magnesium-rich supplements, such as bananas, pumpkin seeds, tofu, soymilk, walnuts, blackstrap molasses, whole grains, and green leafy vegetables. You can also take food, but only after consulting your physician.

  • Tart Cherry Fluid

If the strenuous physical activity is the cause of your leg ache or muscle soreness, drink tart cherry fluid. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of tart cherries help stop and cure soft tissue injury and ache.

1- Eat ½ cup of fresh, organic tart cherries or drink 1 cup of tart cherry fluid, once every day.

Note: Do not drink tart cherry fluid if it causes belly discomfort or diarrhea.
