The study held for ten weeks in a row from the Midwest, USA. The trial attended by two 3rd grade classes. The teacher of one of the classes was very enthusiastic about the concept, while the second was skeptical, thinking that there will be too many outside sources of distracting attention. Each teacher took one hour per week with the class outdoors, after which they returned to normal, with the teaching program in class.
The location in which the classes held outdoors was a green area, close to school, overlooking a forest. After the classes, the level of involvement of children evaluated in four criteria. From the perspective of the teacher evaluation of the participation by students about themselves and fellow friends.
The number of “warnings” made during the class, I mean, how many times the teacher had to attract children’s attention back to the lesson. Independent evaluations through photos, caused by an independent observer, based on photographs made during the period of observation.
That was the lesson the effect held outdoors on the involvement of the class. How hard is it to teach, with so many sources of the distraction of attention? In this study, the level of concentration of children grew after a lesson in nature. A benefit of time spent outside reflected in “four of the five measures for the evaluation of class involvement.”
The results showed that lesson held in the open air has stimulated rather than engaging class activities. After an experience in the open air, teachers could teach almost twice as much without being forced to stop to warn children to concentrate in class.
The beneficial effect that nature had on children was maintained throughout ten lessons and different topics and manifested in the class teacher who has positive expectations and class one who has negative expectations from such experiences.
The results of this study suggest that the lessons conducted in nature helps pupils to be attentive and his class and can restore the ability to learn, in other words, to “shall feed on the go.
Because children’s exposure to nature in a day of school appears to have many additional benefits, including physical and mental health, the study results support the inclusion in school curricula of some hours teaching outdoors.
Today’s kids have too many “entertainment” technological kids long occupied and away from the environment. It is about a video game or TV or other such activities, and kids look to interact with their side. Many seem to forget point to teach children about their connection with the earth and their essential role in protecting the planet for future generations.
For those who want it but feel uninspired, here are some ways to cultivate your consciousness in children linked to life in touch with nature:
Be an example for your child our children learn by imitation.
1st place thing is to turn off the tv and leave the phone at home for long periods as possible.
And when you use to try to be very selective to be in the child’s consciousness, this is the best selection of a parent cut of technology(or very limited) at least till age 5. We all know how manipulative they are television programs, including them here and those dedicated to children.
Even if they seem harmless, these channels bombarded by advertisements of all kinds which encourage them to consume unhealthy foods or to buy all sorts of toys and more and more and always something else new.
Use every activity, even the playground as a child to learn something useful. We reuse, reduce, recycle.
Children love activities in which their creativity bursts. The good idea is to ask the child to find alternative ways to reuse a disposable object in the house.
So he can turn trash into treasure. For example, if you take the roll from toilet paper and put in it some beans and then cover the ends, you realize a musical instrument. Talk to your child about the importance of minimum package and what it means to recycle and reuse.
There is nothing more magical than you put your child to plant a seed, to take care, and see how it grows. Love to plant will remind you that all living things work together to thrive. While examining their plant as it grows, the children feel proud and will spend more time in nature or the garden. If you don’t have a garden, you can give your child a few pots in which to plant vegetables or flowers, and he will be equally inspired. Besides that, your baby will eat a vegetable instead that he had planted it and took care of that. Playing in dirt good for health overall helps us to get grounded. Exposure to microbes in soil along with healthy plant-based diets work better than vaccines
Spending time in nature with your child as much time with the kids outside is the best you can offer. A picnic or a walk in the forest, in the park or on the shores with fresh air. A better option than a movie or a restaurant. Allow your child to observe the beauty that exists in nature and help him to understand the link between all forms of life.
Children are cautious and wise once you understand something. Talk to them as adults. Spend time with a simple connection between species reminds us of how mysterious is life and nature and how much must we work together in an environment to exist. Kids learn responsibility and compassion from the time spent together with animals. Teach them to respect each living animal in our universe. This lesson will be significantly beneficial in their futures.
They learn to observe living things stand in the presence of animals. Please put your child go barefoot on grass if aria is safe or play in the yard and allow them to get dirty. Some researches have linked the earth’s energy to man’s health.
Besides that, good dirt is a method to train the immune system.
Dirt is not dirty.
You can initiate cleaning programs. Take your children and some friends and neighbors. Go and clean the garbage on a beach or in a forest. When you are part of such a program, children see how change occurs under their eyes and with their help. It is a great way to compensate for negative karma
Activities like this will inspire and will want to do more. You don’t need complicated things, solar panels, and wind farms to teach your child about saving the planet.
You can start simply by seeking to use paper or paper bags instead of plastic ones. You must use anything you do to remove the garbage and clean to be connected and to secure and a healthy planet.
You need to know how to educate the little ones to understand and respect nature. Love and respect for nature are directly related to kid’s health and future of their journeys.
